hello, i have been trying to figure out my 250 ext for about 2 months now (well past the break in period). it creates a lot of micro bubbles in the sump and they flood every compartment and the display tank. a few people have suggested to take off the silencer. tired it, and it creates a full siphon, bringing in the bubbles from the skimmer into the sump.

tried it with the silencer installed. same issue. lot of micro bubbles

i have no idea what to do at this point.

Are you running cabon? Microbubbles usually have more to do with your water chemistry than the skimmer itself.

no carbon.

is there any video on how to properally install this skimmer to produce no microbubbles in sump? it appears to be just sucking the water + bubbles out of the skimmer base.

Please run carbon in the system as micro bubbles are usually a sign of water interference. Carbon should slowly clear it up and allow the skimmer to go back to normal.

Did you get this solved? If so, can you please share how you did it? I have the same problem.

FWIW, I don't think running carbon makes a difference - I am (and always have) run Carbon media and have not seen any improvement.
