doing a new build on a 120. Been gathering parts for a couple months. Thought I did good by getting the Diablo 10500 but now the reviews have me really questioning my choice. How do I know if I have one of the gen1 pumps that have issues after a short time? I have been reefing since 1989 and never had a pump failure. Now after reading that you have discontinued as well as others having issues, not sure if I even want to plumb this in.
Soooo, any way of telling if this is one of the problem ones?

No. If you have any issues with the pump, please contact us and as long as you have proof of purchase, we will honor the warranty and replace it if needed.

Unfortunately that answer drives me to buy a back up pump and have ready to plumb in. If I go to all that trouble, might as well do it right with a good "known" pump and take my losses on this one.
