I have a Reef Octopus BH1000 HOB skimmer with the aquatrance pump. recently i acquired the body of the 110INT skimmer without the original pump. can i use the aquatrance pump on the 110INT? You do not need the cover on the skimmer. We actually recommend removing the cover as it gets clogged up easily and that will affect the efficiency of the skimmer.
