I wanted to ask if there is a way to fasten two 4ft units together like the smaller razor fixtures can be with the rigid metal dowels? We have a 8 ft long aquarium that is 30" wide and wonder if two of these 300 watt fixtures will work fine or not?

Another question is what kind of a gap might there be between the two 4ft long units? if two are used over a 8 ft long aquarium? will the design of the led panels lend to a gap that will not properly illuminate between two units?

Any advice or recommendation is greatly appreciated!

Thank you~

Jim,

Yes, the Razor connecting rods will support attaching two of the 300W Razors together. The gap between the two fixtures will be 2-3 inches. The 300W Razors will give you full coverage for you 30" wide 8ft aquarium.

Hi Chris,
Will the 4ft razor sway in the middle if it is connected at the middle with the legs provided on each end?
In other words, do you have to hang the two 4ft fixtures if you connect them in the middle or can you use the provided legs left and right of the now connected 8 ft fixture? Hope that makes sense?

You can use the legs and connect the Razors with the connecting rods.

Two last questions...
When will the 4ft 300w fixture be available?
If we don't care for a violet look to the aquarium can we scale back that color temp to be more white one the controller and or would we be better off getting the 10,000 version?
Are both color temps available now?

Bulk Reef Supply is the only online retailer that still has them available. We are expecting to receive more units in 7-10 days. Only the 16000K is currently available, you can lower the intensity of the blue channel if necessary.
