I got a reef octopus diablo xs 160 about a year ago right before you changed from the sicce pump to the bubble blasters for my 120 reef and i have to say it barely skims. I keep the water level at the recomended 9 inches, keep the pump clean and all air intakes clear and wide open. after i clean the collection cup it only gets about a 1/4 inch of skimmate which isnt even that thick and then it just stops no matter how long i leave it. i see other skimmers working like monsters but this i just get a little bit then have to clean it agin. My old asm g1 skimmed more before i upgraded to the xs160. i work for a fish store so i am good with handling skimmers, i tried adjusting the water level from low to high and only works a bit when i have the water level above the recommended maximum level and even then it doesnt do much. ive had friends take a look at it just for an extra set of eyes and they all say everything is done right its just not skimming. what i was wondering is that why you changed the pump from the sicce to the bubble blaster or is there something else im just missing? if it is the pump would it be possible to order the pump through you and switch them out? if not i will probably just end up switching skimmers

What size tank are you running this skimmer on?

You can also upgrade the pump on that skimmer from the Sicce 600 to a Bubble Blaster 2000. That would be considered a major upgrade and will definitely increase the efficiency of the skimmer substantially.

Just make sure you select the correct adapter for your skimmer.

the tank is a 120 oceanic tech tank with a 30 gal diy fuge after rock and sand i believe total gallon volume is between 100 and 110, most of my math on water changes and dosing seems to be correct with those numbers

i already spent over 300 on the skimmer, another 40 for the t coming out of the gate valve, like i said i work for a store and can get the pump minus the adapter from aquarium specialty for wholesale is there anything that can be done on that price? because if its 250 just for a pump i might as well buy a whole new skimmer that already has it
