I just bought a NWB-110. Recommended water level 7-8". But instructions say not to have water over the return, which is less than 6". I can't run it at the recomended levels if I can't even put it 6" deep...... Color me confused? Can I get some clarification please? I am fairly new to Sumps and in-sump skimmers. My last tank had an HOB.
Thanks!

The skimmer should be running in 7-8" of water. Having the output vent under or above water will not make a difference and will not affect the performance of the skimmer. It is more important that the skimmer is in the water water depth.

Thank you very much for the help. :) I am already loving this skimmer. It is quieter and easily set up. :)
