At 5ft, a water blaster 2000 would only move around 190gph. For a reef tank, you need to be moving around 5x the volume and 7x the volume for fish only application. I would recommend going with a Bubble Blaster 5000 pump which will move approximately 650gph at 5ft. You can then install a gate valve and throttle it back.
