Had skimmer for 8 months or so. Lately its been making this weird buzzing noise from motor. Its been cleaned multiple times, primed, I've started it with and without covering air intake, and noise continues. Currently don't even have it running because its so loud. Less than a year old so pretty disappointed, what should I do?

Have you pulled out the impeller from the pump? It sounds like the ceramic shaft may be broken and needs replacing.

Yes it all visually looks fine. It pumps water and makes bubbles..(works normally) but makes a loud sound and so I've turned it off to prevent further damage.. Let's say it is the shaft....will I get sent a replacement? Its less than a year old and everyone says these are the best but this experience hasn't been well. It actually was doing it for a while but I'd unplug it and plug in a few times and it would stop and be fine but now no matter what it just makes this loud almost buzzing type sound
