What is the idea high to set the probe from the bottom of the chamber? I’m using a BRS medical grade probe. Also does the stirer pill just gets dropped own into the chamber the probe slides into?

Every probe out there is different. I suggest installing the original probe as instructed and then measuring the length of the tip inside the unit. Then match that length with your replacement probe.
