For about the past 2 months I haven't been real happy with the performance /skimate of my diablo DCS-250 INT. it seems not to want to produce consistent Skim on my 350g FOWLR. I am Fairly stocked but definitely not overstocked.
I have cleaned it soaked in vinegar and it looks like new again. I ordered a neck extension to see if that helps and on further research I now see that the Diablo DC skimmers are retired. That kind of aggravates me since I was one of, if not the first person to have one of these in Canada, and now there no longer current because of poor reliability, and the skimmer is only about 16-18 months old. Makes me wonder if its my pump too that is not working correctly. also not real happy that if I have trouble the replacement/upgrade pump is $300.00, I kind of feel that if these first dc skimmers are poor/faulty coralvue should stand behind there product a little more and offer a incentive for people like my self to upgrade to the better pump. I bought a octopuss because there suppose to be the best. Would like to know if my skimmer has a poor track record? and what parts were giving trouble? With this hobby it pays to be prepared things can go wrong quickly and get expensive quickly.

We stand behind our warranty. If there is an issue with the pump we will rectify it. To do so just submit a ticket with proof of purchase and the serial number off the back of the pump and one of our techs will trouble shoot your issue with you.
