My pump suddenly started making a loud humming noise. It has been running for 6 weeks. It is plumbed to 1in PVC via silicon 1in tubing. I have 3ft of head height and only one 45 degree up to the return nozzles where there is one T and a 90 degree elbow. It has worked well and been silent for the first 5 weeks. No debris, nothing stuck in it. It is as clean as could be. What could be wrong?

Did you reduce the pump's output? If so, that will cause the problem.

No. I had not messed with any of the settings. I just was cleaning the return chamber of the sump that had some algae growth. If I adjust the pumps output from 1 to 5 it still makes the noise regardless just at different levels. When itook it apart and checked everything, then installed it again, at first it was again quiet, This lasted about 30 seconds and then a loud hum again.
