My skimmer is set at 5.25" into the water and I'm having problems with air bubbles coming out the outflow that is so much its clouding the tank. Please tell me what can I do?

You are running the skimmer a little shallow so please lower the skimmer to around 5.75"? That will help.

Lowered it to 5.75" last night and still putting out air. I did clean the machine yesterday and when I put it back in is when my problem started, I took it back out at the time and made sure everything was connected back tightly with no luck. Errr!

How did you clean it? Did you clean the entire skimmer or just the collection cup?
If you cleaned the entire skimmer, you removed the bacteria layer that was covering the inner walls of the skimmer. In essence, the skimmer has to break in again. It may take a week or so to do so and then the bubbles will stop.
