Apologize up front for this being a beg and long question

Ok Tank this is up and running glass tank is old so the sump returns are in a bad place not the corners.

Dimensions of the tank 6 feet by 18 inches 21 inches tall 2 inch sand bed lots of liverock this is a reef and fish tank.
two 10 x 5 inch return boxes 7 inches away from the sides.

So hopefully you understand what I am working with. I have ice cap modules and about a month ago was running them with the one cable set up horizontally on opposite sides at the top according to your video.
I had to lower the speed a lot cause they put out way too much power. I have just purchased the optional cables that let me control direction and speed.

So what would be my optimal setup be to get the best use out my products. What paddles, cage, placement in the tank/ horizontal or vertical and what programming should I use?

Thanks for your help in advance.

You are asking a question that only you and your tank can answer. Flow is very subjective so it depends on what you and your corals like. The only thing I can offer you is to test different settings until you find the one that you like. Remember that no two tanks are the same so what works for us here may not work for you. Tank dimensions are just a small variable in the entire equation. There is landscaping, type of rock, type of fish, number of corals, type of corals. They all add up to every tank being different than the next one so the only way to really know what works for your tank is to test different settings and see how your corals and fish react.
