My SynaG app just updated and is saying it now has Gyra control. I’ve updated the Gyre firmware but the ICv6 and app aren’t seeing the Gyre. Is there anything else I need to do to enable it?

What firmware version is the ICV6 running? Make sure that it is running the latest version. Please also know that at this time, the manufacturer only released PARTIAL CONTROL on the gyres. This means that only the presets and manual mode work. The advanced/Auto mode where you create your own schedule is not available yet and wont be for another 4-6 weeks.

Thanks Carlos. In my Syna-G app, if I select firmware update, it's telling me that I'm running the latest. Is that the best way to ensure I'm running latest or do I need to update using a micro-SD card the way I did for the Gyre itself?

The Gyre right now needs to be updated with an SD card. The latest version available is 2.0. The ICV6 can only be updated via the app. The latest version is 1.7.

OK, thanks. So mine are both running latest firmware but I still can't see my Gyre under 'devices" in the app. Is there something I need to do in order to make it visible?

Double check that your gyre is running the latest firmware. Disconnect the gyre from power and then connect it back on. Immediately look at the screen and the gyre controller will flash the firmware it currently has installed. Make sure that the firmware is the same as the one you downloaded. If not, that means the firmware update did not work and that's why you are not seeing the controller.

The version is showing as 1.7, not 2.0 but I downloaded the patch from here and it showed as 100% on the unit. I now also have the screen saver that dims after a certain amount of time, which I didn't have before. Any reason that it would have upgraded to 1.7 but not 2.0?

I would suggest trying the update again. Download the file again in case it was corrupted during the download. Also, make sure that you are downloading the correct file for your gyre.

Carlos- thanks, I figured it out when I checked the filename on the SD card. Somehow I'd found and downloaded the 1.7 patch, not the 2.0. Got it updated and now can see the Gyre in my app. Thanks for the support!
