I just received my maxspect gyre 150, when I hooked it up a red light started blinking, so I disconnected everything and plugged in everything again, this time the constant speed mode works. Whenever I switch out of the constant speed mode the red light starts blinking. If I wait a few moments the red light will turn blue again and I can hurry and switch it back to constant speed mood and the pump works. Can someone help. This is a brand new pump that I just installed right out of the box

Sounds like something may have gotten shifted during shipment. I would recommend taking the pump apart and then putting it back together. Usually, if something gets moved around during shipping, this will fix it.
Here is a nice and short video that shows you how to put the pump back together step-by-step including where all the bushings go. We recommend you watch the video once all the way through and then watch it again with your gyre at hand.
It is also a good exercise as unlike other regular propeller pumps, this pump needs regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and long life.
