Hey team, my skimmer is causing me a lot of headaches right now. It is not producing enough air to properly skim. I have pulled the pump apart and soaked in a vinegar solution. Cleaning the inside of the pump along with scraping the inside of the volute air intake and the lip on the inside. I have replaced the air line leading to the silencer, replaced the needle wheel, and have even tried to scrub out the silencer.nothing is clogged. The pump seems to respond to the controller, as I decrease the power the pump decreases output, as I increase I the flow increases. This was a great skimmer until the last 2 months. Any help in getting this back would be helpful.

I have the same issue. If I restrict water suction then it pulls air. I have this issue on two reef octopus regal skimmers. It’s a shame. I clean it they work then within a week no more bubble production.
