The silencer on the SSS5000 has two ports on the top. Should one be capped off with the included black cap, or should they both be uncapped? I've seen several videos showing them both open and other times one side capped.

The black cap forces air through the silencer channel buffing the sound of moving air. I does produce some restriction but nothing that will compromise the performance of your skimmer. If the sound of air moving through your silencer does not bother you then I would suggest leaving it uncapped.
