I have tried to connect a car battery as a battery back up for my 280. It does not work, when I remove the power the controller shuts down even when the 45amp car battery is connected to the battery back up adapter. Why is that, am I doing something wrong here.

Best regards

How are you connecting it? What type of connector are you using and are you certain that you are passing the right amount of Voltage to the pump controller?

I am using the same type of connector that comes with the power supply for the gyre, + inside and - outside on the plug itself. And regarding the voltage it is a standard car battery delivering around 12,94V when the charger is offline.

I have a thought, do you have to connect both adaptors to both A and B pump inlet in order for it to work?
