The diagram does not show what the adapters are for. Is there an actualy owners manual for this thing? My unit was a display at an LFS so it did not come in a box or with instructions.

If you are referring to the CLSC-150EXT, you will find the assembly diagram on the product page under the "Downloads" tab.

That is the one I am referring to. I have that diagram but it doesn't show anything for the 2 adapters that came with it. They say British and Metric on opposite ends. Because of mine being the display model it came fully assembled but never used and it had the drain pipes in a box along with these two adapters. Just trying to get all of my ducks in a row before I drill into my sump for a bulkhead.

The plumbing on the skimmer is metric so the adapter are if you want to change the intake and output plumbing to US to make it easier plumb from the output back to your sump.
