I have a Reef Octopus skimmer that I am unsure of the model. It is 24" tall and 8.5" diameter of the cone. The pump is a otp 3000 but I was wondering if the PSK 1000 would be an upgrade but also I am not sure which attachment would be needed to attach pump to the body. What do you recommend?

Without knowing the model of the skimmer, it is hard to provide you with an adapt that would work. If your skimmer came with an OTP3000S pump, then I would recommend the Aquatrance pump but again, without knowing the model of the skimmer and if it is an internal or external skimmer, it is hard to tell.
Can you attach pictures of the skimmer and the pump? When did you purchase the skimmer?
