I'm trying to get more of a wave going simply for viewing pleasure. I'm not having luck with the standard programming. Specifically it doesn't allow for me to control the amount of time between pulses in pulse mode. This doesn't allow for the water to "rock" backwards after a pulse. Is there a way to do that? Even if I need to program it on a computer?

No, the controller does not allow any type of program input from other devices. I am sorry about that.

The gyre pump was not built to create the back and forth wave. After many years, it is believed that the wave does not work as it just suspends particles in the same place and not move them along so the overflow can pick them up.

Is there a third party controller that would allow me to accomplish this? I understand that the wave is not the most efficient. I am looking for pure aesthetics at select times. For example, if I have company over I could turn on the wave, then turn it back to a more efficient setting when they leave.

The only way I can think of is using the IceCap Gyre Interface Module and then connecting it to a Neptune Apex. You would do all programming on the APEX using their programming language.
