So I am looking to add an ATO to my 20g Long but I don't have a sump or any chambers, just the main tank. I am wondering how small the eye is on this ATO. My problem is that the tank has a rim and I am afraid it won't allow the eye to go high enough to keep the water level where I want it. Make sense?

They eye is about 1/4" in the center of the ATO. Another thing to note is that it may not work if there is direct light.
