Is that not the part in the right hand corner of the first picture? The intake screen then slips over the downpipe of the intake tubing for surface skimming and to prevent critters from entering the skimmer body.

It comes with the male threads that will go into the remainder of the intake plumbing within the skimmer.

No the square one was replaced by a cylinder one shown in the newer photos. Is it too big or too small? What model pump do you have on your skimmer?
