The skimmer pump is making a faint rattle noise like it sounds like something is rattling on the glass and I unplugged everything and it is the skimmer, I took it off and took some of it apart and re assembled and I still hear the noise. I don't recall hearing it before and I feel like I'm going insane. I know it makes a hum noise because it's a pump but I don't believe I should hear any sort of rattle noise, what can cause this?

Did you remove the impeller and inspect it for any signs of damage, debris or buildup? Did you make sure that the venturi is clear of salt creep. It is very common to occur at this time of the year. Also make sure that the sound is not due to the skimmer lid vibrating.
