I just purchased the ATO and in the brochure it says "The maximum water level in the storage tank should NEVER EXCEED the water level of the sump to prevent stored water from siphoning into the aquarium." On the back of the box, the illustration shows the water level in the storage reservoir at a higher level than the tank/sump!!!!!
The level in my storage reservoir is much higher than the level in my sump. Can I still use this product???
Isn't the siphon breaker supposed to handle this situation????
Please Help! Thanks!

The siphon breaker is there as a precautionary preventative but I would not rely on that for constant use. If your fresh water container is above the level of the sump I would suggest a solenoid switch and the use of a float valve as an additional safety measure. This way water is provided via gravity and shut off with a switch instead of a pump.

Hi there,
I’ve just installed an IceCap ATO unit , it seems to work fine, the only issue is that once it replenishes evaporated water to the desired level, the alarm beep won’t stop, how can I fix this?
Thanks for your time

This could be due to several things. The first and most common is if the time the ATO runs exceeds the time it did prior by double or the middle sensor is not working and the safety sensor is being set off.
