XF280 Controller, External Trigger?

XF280 Controller, External Trigger?
Is there a way to create an external “Trigger” for a pulse cycle? I assume that if I turned the main power on and off, that the controller would start with whatever setting that is programmed in but if I did this once every minute (for example), this might be harmful to it.

Background: I bought an XF250 pump and an Icecap 0-10V controller to allow the Apex to coordinate with or follow the splash timing of a dump bucket with a ramp up and down. This timing fluctuates thus the Icecap controller is slaved to the dump bucket (so to speak) but I am looking at buying an XF280 as well.

So …is there an external trigger that I could use like a low voltage pulse or anything else? Also, will cycling the power on and off, hurt anything? Finally, if I did that, would the controller start right into its program or would it go through some set up and calibration sequence before starting the program?

No, there is no external trigger unfortunately.

Will turning off and on work without shortening its life. Also would it start right into a cycle or set up first.

The controller unfortunately is not made to be turned ON/OFF the way you are proposing to do it. You will end up burning out the controller.
