It is roughly 3 inches from the surface to the center of the outlet. The volute can also rotate which would lower the output to 1.625in. Is there a certain reason you are asking?

Hi and thanks for answer. I need the bulkheads of my sump to be in line directly with the inlets. My sump centerline of bulkheads is 2" from base. Unsure what the volute is. Does this mean as the pump rotates the inlet spacing changes for the bottom. Any help is appreciated. Chuck
