I just installed my controller and the display comes on for about 3 seconds and then starts beeping and displays EE in screen. What could be the problem?

Is yours the Red Reef Octopus temp Controller or do you have the Black CoralVue Controller?

Please unplug the heater or chiller from the controller and let the controller sit for 20min or longer unplugged from the power source. Then without the heater or chiller plugged into the temp controller plug it in and see if it resumes. If it resumes the fuse within the controller has likely popped. To inspect the fuse remove the screws from the back of the controller and separate the two halfs of the controller body.
