I just replaced the LED board in my 420R as the blue string was not working. I am wondering - since the whites still work - could I use the board for something else - maybe terrarium plants?

Besides the power supply you would also need a driver circuit to operate the LEDs. Since the blue channel has failed I recommend disposing of the board.
