I have had my IceCap Gyre 3K for some time now. i take it out and clean it regularly. The last time I did so I now notice that this thing on 10% seems more like 50% or more. Is there something that could be wrong with it? Have you ever ran across this before?

No nothing seems wrong with the pump from what you describe.
As pumps get fouled up with algae and other organics they will suffer in output performance / Flow.
After cleaning the pump there will be an increase in flow as the pump is moving freely without the extra drag from organic build up, calcium carbonate and or algae creating drag.

What I mean is this currently is pushing what anytime before was about 50% but the unit is set at 10% is all. Right now, this time only after cleaning, 10% is too much for my 90 gallon tank. i have not done a firmware update on this ever. I purchased this in March of 2017 so should I update the firmware? Is there anything I can do so this stops blowing my corals all over the place?

Position of they gyre either Vertical or horizontal will make a difference in flow pattern as well as adjusting the outer flow cages to direct the flow pattern in the tank will alter the flow in the tank.

I am not really following what you are trying to say about the %.
What is the controller set to and displaying on the screen ?
A firmware update if needed can add features and or remove bugs in the programming if any exist, it is good to stay with the current Version software available.
