We have the 100-HOB and the collection cup keeps filling up with water that is a tan color?! It fills very quickly, is this suppose to happen because we keep losing water in the tank.

Not likely. The cause is a reactant of some sort in which the skimmer draws out in excess. I would suggest to raise the collection cup especially if the skimmer has been running for less than 30 days.
