I like to connect a ATO system to my apex are these Smart ATO controllers available without the pump? My tank doesn't have a sump and a magnetic system seems to be the best option. Please advise.

You cannot use your own pump on the controller. The controller unit is also self sufficient. It cannot be linked to the Apex controller.
