Regal 170 INT pump issue

I turned off the pump to clean the skimmer pump. I could not get the pump to engage and took it apart and cleaned it. When I power up the controller the green lights come on for about 4 seconds and it seems the pump is trying to start, but will not. Any ideas for a fix?

How old is the pump and when was the last time you gave it a good cleaning (water/vinegar soaking)?

Thanks for the super fast reply.

The pump gets a good annual cleaning and is approximately 3 years old. It is soaking in vinegar solution since this morning.

Give that a try. Otherwise, the issue may be a bad impeller. Hard to know 100% unless you send the pump in for paid inspection and repair.
