Every time I leave my studio with my phone, it says that I'm disconnected from bluetooth. Will this affect dosing if the phone isn't near the unit?

This occurrence will not affect the dosing from the X1. It was just notifying you that the app was active and you have left the bounds of your Bluetooth range. So your phone can no longer communicate with the app till you get within range once again. Until then the doser will work as previously programmed.
