i bought a aq1000s replacement pump for my protein skimmer, but it doesnt fit the bubble cup, the new skimmer has threads and not compatible with the pump, which pump do i need for the reef octopus nwbss110

Did your skimmer come with the Aquatrance pump or did it come with an OTP pump?

the new pump is almost the same but now its has a threaded opening where the bubble cup is suppose to fit on, but the opening is too big

The output adapter can be removed so you can attach the old adapter that came with the original skimmer pump.
