RO 202-S Air Intake Line

Hi,
I am curious, the air line tubing that runs between the intake housing to the venture unit is much longer than the actual distance between these to apertures creating a significant "U" shape bend in the line. Is this extra length required for the skimmer to work properly or should I shorten the line to eliminate the excess bend in tubing? Hope that makes sense.

Also, the intake housing (silencer) has two small inlet ports and one has a cap. Again, should I use the cap or uncap for more air.

My skimmer is very quiet.

Thank you,
Lisa M

Yes, you can trim the airline to size. Please do keep a little slack for easy servicing. The silencer can be ran without a cap if sound is not an issue.
