Just got my 250 today and installed in tank and found that it is really loud. When at 20% I can hear it just standing in front of tank and when higher I can hear it upstairs and around the corner. Tried taking apart and inspecting and found everything to be good. Not sure what to do.

How long has the pump been running? New pumps can be a little loud but they will quiet down as they get covered with algae and bacteria.

Give it a couple of weeks and the pump will substantially quiet down.

Only the first time it will take longer. After that, it should quiet down in a day or so.

And I have handled more Gyres than anybody else in this country. I had been testing the gyre a year before it was released to the public.
