Maxspect Gyre Frayed wires and electric shock

Hello

I have had 2 Gyre 150's running in my tank since last 5 months. I yesterday lost 3 of my 7 fish over night without any cause. Today I removed of the gyres for maintenance and found that the wires going into the motor had come out of the plastic shell. I believe that the gyre had released electricity into the tank. I have also removed my other gyre to prevent any other fish loss or injury to myself.
