Gyre 150 whistling

I have had the Gyre since Oct '15. I have cleaned it twice in a 1/1 vinegar water solution. The pump is now making a high pitch noise. If I turn it down it stops or if I reverse the pump it stops. When it goes back into normal pulse mode it the noise starts backup. I have taken it apart and reassembled a few times. It runs quiet at first then the whistling comes back.

Sounds like the bushings are not installed correctly. Did you try using the spare propellers and cages while you clean the old ones? Here is a step-by-step video on how to properly assemble the gyre including all it's bushings. We recommend you watch the video all the one through and then watch it again with your gyre at hand.

Taking it apart and assembling it back again usually takes care of the issue you describe...
