Glass Thickness Mis-Marketing

Why are these pumps being marketed as usable on 3/4" glass? The pump won't even attach and hold with 3/4" glass. Even with 5/8" glass you cannot run the pump beyond 50% or it falls off.

I am extremely frustrated that I cannot use this pump on my aquarium to its full potential. The Coralvue Blog said this pump is usable on up to 3/4". Will there be a magnet extension or is this it?

How will you rectify this problem?

Thanks,
Logan

We have tested the gyre extensively and it worked fine in 3/4 of an inch. Please remember that on Alternating Gyre Mode, especially if you are running it at 180 degrees in the middle of the tank, the torque it creates due to the water movement will be too great for the magnets. There will be a kit available that will strengthen the magnets for situations as such.

I have 3/4" glass on my aquarium and when I tried to install the gyre it sagged on the glass. It would not even hold itself up when completely off. If you say you extensively tested on 3/4" glass and it works, do I have a defective magnet?

Carolos, good news! I was able to get it working on the 3/4" glass. The issue was that the cord wasn't yet molded to curve again the glass, so when I first tried to install it, it didn't work. Secondly, it was too close to my MP60. Thanks again for your help.
