Simple question is the suggested water level for the slimmer measured from the outside. As I if it is sitting in my sump not running should the water level be 8" high on the skimmer from the base externally?

Thanks for your inquire, the high is measure from the base of the skimmer, please keep on mind this is a guide, since this may vary +- depending on the bio load of the tank
