I think my smart ato might not be working properly. I do not get the alarms that I read about, such as the song that plays when the refill tank is out of top off water, or the over fill alarm when the sensor is 1" under water. It has never maintained a constant water level since I bought it. Should I return it and get a different one? Example : I reset the sensor to the desired water level was fine yesterday and checked it this afternoon and the sensor is under water.

When you saw the controller under water, how much under water was it under? Do you get any alarm sounds after you reset the controller? Say, if you push the controller far under water, do you get any alarm sounds?
