I have been running my external Octopus #6 now ror approx. 2 months now and I have two cracks on the main housing starting from the top where the collection cup attaches. The cracks are about two inches long and I can not feel them when I run my finger over them. They do not leak.
I have found out through Marine Depo, (where I purchased the skimmer), Octopus does not cover the main housing and I'm not happy about the lack of a warranty.
Can I glue the crack to prevent spreading and leaking? What type of glue should I use, PVC, quick set, etc? . Will I be adding to my problems if I try to repair the cracks?
Thanks for your help and think twice before purchasing a Octopus

Can you provide us with pictures of the problem sections? You can attach them to this thread by using the small paper clip image found at the bottom right of the message field.

Time is running out, please will you help me now !!!!!! The crack has doubled in length. I took photos but I haven't figure out how to send them. I have although sent them to Marine Depo and Octopus but I guess it does not matter because they won't warrant my skimmer anyway. but I need your recommendation on glue ASAP. Please give me the type of glue.
