Gyre 300 series and ICV6 - Slowing down the Alternating Gyre Transition for better turbulent flow

I have emailed maxspect directly, but the language barrier can be difficult. Basically, I am trying to request that the Alternating Gyre mode ramp time be increase from 10 seconds to upwards of 30 minutes or even 60 minutes in a firmware update. I am trying to replicate the BRS flow pattern that they display in this video (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/video...nk-trials-ep9/) at 15:15. It is basically an alternating gyre pattern that changes every 1 hr and 30 minutes, with a 45 minute transition period. This allows a slowly moving turbulent interface to roll across the tank and give corals a brief period of strong turbulent flow. This has a lot of added benefits over just being able to switch directions. It should be simple software change that would add a ton of flexibility to the pumps. As it stands, you need more then just two gyres to really create proper turbulent flow all throughout a tank. With this change, it could be accomplished with just 2 gyres in most situations.

I have tried to utilize the advanced programming function on the ICV6 with custom wave mode to do this, but my custom waves do not work correctly. I have three time intervals set into the custom wave that changes the pumps' intensities in 10% increments, however, the pumps sit on the first intensity and never change within that custom wave. Not sure what I am doing wrong but help here would also be appreciated.

Unfortunately we have no control over the firmware that Maxspect chooses to create. The link you sent for the BRS video is invalid, can you resend please?

I was hoping maybe they had an ear for your suggestions. Thanks for the reply.

Here is the link again.
https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/video/view/brs160-update-and-can-the-triton-method-be-considered-ulm-brstv-tank-trials-ep9/

If that doesn't work, you can search for "triton" on bulkreefsupply.com under BRS TV. The video is titled "BRS160 Update and can the Triton method be Considered ULM". Again, it is at 15:15 where they talk about the flow pattern.

Also, can you speak to my issues with the Custom Mode not switching on its internal time periods? Again, it just sits on the 1st time period, and never switches modes.

Thanks!

Custom Mode not switching on its internal time periods may be a warranty issue. If you could please go to https://www.coralvue.com/support/submit_ticket and submit a ticket one of our reps will be able to help troubleshoot your controller.
