Hi, i bought an Octo-1000 from Amazon in Dec 2016 and recently the aquatrance 1000s pump on it stopped working, on examining I found the ceramic shaft had broken. I want to know whether this is covered by my 2 year warranty?

No, the impeller assembly only comes with a 1-year warranty. The rest of the pump body comes with a 2-year warranty. You can find that description here under the "Features" tab.
