When and where can I buy the new dc-3500 pump? The only place I see it for sale is fragtastic reef and it has been on backorder or over a month. The price was originally $160 , now I see they moved it up to $234.99.

Only small amounts of these pumps are being provided to us per shipment. Wholesalers like Fragtastic are in line for when they arrive. As far as price it has been $234.99 since its release last month.

When do you expect them to be fully available ? That's a big jump from the diablos dc pumps. What's the main reason this price jump ? Looking at the specs the head pressure loss seems to be a little better . Is there more to these new pumps that makes them superior to the diablos ?

The container with the pumps just left and expect them to be available in the beginning of July. The jump in price is the old DC3500 were a cheaper pump produced by Jebao. The New RO-DC 3500 pump offers greater performance as well as durability. The RODC is made by Reef Octopus in house much like the Bubble Blasters and Aquatrance pumps.

Okay I see, thanks for the info . Also I have another issue . I own one of the bubble blaster 1000 skimmer pumps . It is in the cone style hob skimmer I bought a few years ago. I think the xp-1000. It works great but it is starting to loose prime more and more often . The water level drops and if have to pinch the Venturi hose for a second and the level with rise and stay there for a day or so . Seems like it is loosing prime ? Do I need new o-rings? If so is there an O-ring kit for it ?

How often do you remove the pump, take it apart and clean it?

Have you taken it apart to check the impeller? Would you be able to provide me with pictures of the impeller?

Thank you,

Yes, I did when it first stared this problem a year ago. If I have to disassemble it again I would prefer to have a new impeller to install if you think that is what the problem is. I would like to try to fix it the next time I take it apart. In this case what all would you recommend changing to fix this problem?

Unfortunately I cannot just send out an impeller without pictures because it may or may not be the impeller. If the impeller is not the issue, I may need to have you send the pump in for repair.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for providing the pictures.

Okay this thing is under my tank on my sump . I don't think it's possible to take it out without taking the sump out . Terrible setup . I need an in sump skimmer at this point. When I got the hob I didn't have a sump and have been procrastinating an upgrade . Plus this skimmer works so well. I will have the opportunity to check today and see if I can. Will let you know.

I did not get the opportunity to check. When the time comes I get a chance, possibly next month, I will send you a picture.
