how far should the air hose on the adjust pipe be away from the water line, right now the water line is 1 mm below the hole and water is flowing out of that air hole where the airline should go. (with the adjust pipe in the fully open position, the skimmer sits in about 6 inches of water)
as of right now the air hose is not attached to the adjust pipe, because water is coming out of the little air hole, should i raise the simmer up even more ? It says that the skimmer should work in 6 - 8 inches of water, and i am already at the low point.... will it work if i have it sitting in 5 inches of water ?

The thing is that video doesn't have the same Silencer and adjust pipe as my elite 150, on my unit, the silencer sits on top of the adjust pipe and the air line connects into a hole just above the T and that is 6 inches from the bottom of the skimmer.

Ok, the airline should be threaded into the red wed pipe and pushed all the way up so it connects to the silencer's bottom intake. Just make sure that the line is not too tight that it kinks at the base and prevents air from entering the pump. Does that make sense?
