Hello there,
I have a question about the protein skimmer I just purchase.
The reccomended water level for the skimmer say on the instruction 7.9"-8.7",
You guys reccomended 6"-8" of water level, my sump is going to have the water level at 8 &1/2 inches, which is a little lower than what the instruction suggest but is an half inch less of what you reccomend.
Am I going to be fine with 8&1/2 water level?
Thank you
Galizio

The correct hight is 6"-8". Anything below that and the skimmer is running too shallow and you will not be able to collect. Anything above that and the skimmer is running too deep and you will experience overflow issues.

If your sump water level is 8.5", then you will need to raise the skimmer by at least .5".

Why on the instruction in the box the nwb 150 say 7.9"-8.7"?
How I suppose to raise the skimmer 1/2 safely?

Sorry for the inconvenience. We have been trying to get Reef Octopus to change the instructions but they have not gotten around to it.

You can raise it with PVC pipes or you can use a skimmer stand which would make much easier...
