Does the impeller spin on the porcelin shaft or does the shaft spin in the end caps? Mine seems fused together. Have been soaking in vinegar for hours.

The impeller rotates within the ceramic like sleeves on each end of the shaft. The magnet/impeller and shaft are fused together.
