My Skimmer I just purchased from BRS was supposed to have a 20 watts OTP2000s pump according to the box and info prior to me buying the NWB-150 Reef Octopus Skimmer Classic. After opening the box, I found a pump showing OTP2000 38 watts !! What happened to the 20 watt pump that was supposed to come with this skimmer guys. Could you guys please contact me about this ? I contacted BRS and they said this isn't the first time they have heard about this and told me to contact Coralvue. Please let me know ASAP, thank you,
Sincerely,

The OTP pump is used as a water pump(38w) and a skimmer pump(21w). By swapping out the impeller you will have a difference in wattage. This is common across the board with most skimmer pumps because they are water pumps that are modded with a pinwheel or needle wheel impeller. When you place in a pinwheel impeller the wattage decreases. Basically the more air that is injected by the pump the less wattage the pump will draw. If you place a watt meeter on your skimmer pump you will see that the pump will draw 21w or less in saltwater. sorry for the confusion.
